Sixty -Six (66) graduates in the state, have benefitted from the Federal Government Graduate Attachment Programme, under the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), as part of efforts by the government to reduce the massive unemployment rate in the country.
The graduates, recruited for temporary jobs, are to be paid N15,000 monthly as stipend during the duration of the programme.
Ondo Coordinator of the NDE, Dare Awokoya, said the transient internship programme, expected to last three months, would either secure employment for the beneficiaries, or make them self employed.
Speaking while delivering posting letters to the beneficiaries, Awokoya disclosed that they would be posted to corporate organisations in the state for an initial three months period.
He expressed optimism the beneficiaries could secure permanent jobs at their places of primary assignment or could become self-employed.
