It was joy in the midst of sadness, as Governor Rotimi Akeredolu showed magnanimity in giving employment to the eldest son of late Government House / Protocol driver,Ajiboye Adeleke, who died two weeks ago alongside Chief of Protocol to the Governor, Mr. Tosin Ogunbodede , along the Ilesha-Akure road.
Other children of the deceased also received academic scholarship for their studies.
The Governor made the good news public at the commendation service held at the residence of the late Adeleke at Ala Quarters in Akure.
Represented by the Acting Permanent Secretary, General Administration Department, Governor’s Office, Mr. Michael Osodi, he described the driver as a humble and diligent officer who remained committed to his duties till he breathed his last.
Akeredolu stated that the best way to keep alive the legacies of the deceased, was for the immediate family to remain united and take his demise as the will of God.
In his exhortation, Pastor Shina Idowu of the Christ Apostolic Church, Ori Oke Agbara Nla, Oba-Ile, said Christians have the hope of eternity in paradise if they live their lives in service of God and humanity.
He therefore enjoined the widow and children of the deceased to stand firm in their faith in God and refuse to be weighed down by the unfortunate incidence but rather rejoice that they will meet with their father on the last day in paradise.
