Journalists do not engage in the celebration or idolization of people, though there may be nothing wrong with convivial self celebration once in a while. But really, journalists do not have the time for that. Perhaps they are too engrossed with making sense out of the seeming charade called governance, to take time off.
Yet in every rule, there must be an exception and today, I am celebrating a virtuous, indefatigable personality.
Mrs. Kehinde Adekemi Awosika, current principal, St James Secondary School in Ondo Kingdom. Her simplicity and good nature, have endeared her to me.
Mrs. Kehinde Adekemi Oriade Awosika , who has served as Principal of many schools in Ondo town and environs, is many things to many people but to me, as she prepares for retirement next year from the public service, she is ever duty conscious, God fearing, self effacing and loyal to her employees while relating well with her peers and subordinates.

As the Ife Princess retires gloriously from the State Public Service when she would have served the mandatory 35 years early next year, she will certainly not be leaving the teaching profession. She is retiring to take charge of her institution, Golden Steps Nursery / Primary School, situated at 35 Araromi Street, Ondo.
