Oke Igbo born, Prince and Acting National President, Institute of Management Consultant of Nigeria (IMCON), Prince G. J. Farotade, has disclosed that Nigerian Management Consultants, through the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria, have entered into a partnership deal with British Professional Managers, through the International Professional Managers Association of the United Kingdom (IPMA – UK ), with a view to leveraging local mastery of the dynamics of quality management consultancy service.
Speaking at the second Induction of new members of the Institute of Management Consultant of Nigeria (IMCON) at NECCA House, Ikeja Central Business District (CBD), the Oke Igbo Prince, said the Institute is experiencing a renaissance era and urged members to contribute enthusiastically towards the upliftment of management consultancy service and IMCON, by regularly conducting seminars, conferences and meetings .
Farotade charged members to uphold the ethics of the profession, in addition to being up and doing by being up to date in their financial responsibilities, in addition to contributing to the on going licensing programme.
The Acting National President listed membership benefits which he wants members to take advantage off, to include being listed in the register of management consultants in the country, membership of the West African Federation of Institute of Administration and Management (WAFIAMC), participation at management consultancy training programmes, featuring on the update list of consultants forwarded to professional bodies and institutions in the organized private sector, receiving the institute’s journals and newsletters and being included in updated list of consultants sent to international agencies.
The Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria , is empowered to determine standard of knowledge and skill to be attained by citizens seeking to be registered as management consultants, raising such standards from time to time, establishing and promoting the forum for the development of management consultancy as a profession, secure in accordance with the charter act, the establishment and maintenance of a register of members and publishing the list of members from time to time, as well as ensuring that members conform to the highest ethical standards.
