As part of measures put in place to contain the second wave of COVID-19 in Ondo State, the State Government has instituted a new declaration that only face mask wearing people will be allowed entry into government offices in the state.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, who made this public while addressing pressmen in Akure, said government expressed concern that a larger percentage of people in the state are not complying with the simple precautionary measures against the virus, noting that the enforcement of COVID protocols is to begin in earnest.
He advised people to avoid large gatherings, adding that if there must be any gathering, everyone must wear face masks and equally ensure that social distancing is maintained.
The State is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the virus is adequately contained in the state.
Ondo State is one of the states with low rate of positive cases of the dreaded virus.
