Industrial development in Ondo State will get a fillip with the planned investment of N2.5b by the State Government on Omotosho Industrial Park.
To demonstrate government’s seriousness, government has allocated vast portions of land to prospective investors at the park while all hands are on deck for park to effectively take off this year.
Furthermore, the 530 megawatts Omotoso Power Station Phase II , inaugurated by President. Goodluck Jonathan last year, is expected to boost the state’s industrialization plan.
Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mrs Adenike Ademujimi in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Akure , said government’s investment was in tandem with the Mimiko administration’s industrialization drive .
She promised government’s provision of the needed infrastructure in the park.
The Commissioner disclosed that as a result of the administration’s laudable transformation of the date, investors from China and other countries have submitted proposals to her Ministry for consideration in the industrialization of the state.
She said it was unfortunate that the country had allowed the emergence of oil to weaken other sectors of the economy .
