The gateway town of Ore is gradually being developed into an industrial haven.
Towards this end, a multi-million naira Industrial Park is on going, same for the on-going Ore Sunshine City, Ore Agriculture Farm Settlements, modern international market amongst others.
Governor Olusegun Mimiko, who said his administration intends using the vantage position of the town as the link between the South South, South East and Northern regions and the South West, flagged off the rehabilitation of 6.1-kilometer Ore township roads. “Ore, given its unique position is a potential hold mine and we have begun the process of making it one of the best cities in the whole world. It is largely unplanned but we have started planning it and putting in place a lot of infrastructure that would make it a hilt industrialized city. We are leveraging on ore’s unique geographical location by tapping into the abundant gas reserve in this area, we are working on the Omotoso Gas Plant also located here and by the grace of God, we will make this city into the best industrialized corridor in Nigeria.
Asking for a second term to complete these laudable projects begun, the Governor stated that, “What we only wanted from you is give us your mandate to allow us complete what we started and to be able to do more for our people. When we are here a few years ago,the people of this local government asked for a lot of hinges and to the glory of God, we have been able to provide all these. Today, we have met most of your demands and if you vote for us again, we are going to do more to make life better for all of us”.
Governor Mimiko later visited Odigbo town, Ajue, Lasia, Mulekangbo, Kajola Ojurin and several other communities, where he commissioned several projects running into over N500million built by his administration under the 3IS Initiative of his government through its Ministry of Community Development and Cooperative Services.
Mimiko had earlier taken his campaign train to Ayesan, Olokuta, Koseru and Ajebandele all in Constituency Two of Odigbo local government, where he also commissioned numerous projects and assured the people of these communities of more solid developmental projects in the rural areas including roads, health ventures, community centers, assistances in agriculture, provision of soft loans to traders, artisans and entrepreneurs, if he is given the opportunity to return to conclude what he started.
