It was a wonderful sight to behold for the people of Ondo South Senatorial district, as its illustrious son, and Senator representing the Constituency at the 9th National Assembly, Senator Nicholas Tofowomo, again provided more dividends of democracy to people in his constituency.
The oil rich constituency has over the years not received adequate attention from government.
Tofowomo has however acted like a government, by consistently putting smiles on the faces of his people, by making them self employed.
His Humanitarian gestures, have lifted his political profile and made him one of the most loved political figures in the state.
The ever cheerful giver has opened access to himself and has consistently provided succour to his people.
Delivering on his electoral promise of making his people financially independent, the people’s senator on11th January this year in Ile Oluji, as part of his empowerment initiative, gave out motorcycles, sewing machines to 100 youths and 100 women respectively.
He equally organised the teaching and training of over 150 youths on ICT training and development and at the end of the training, empowered participants with brand new HP Computers, 3-in-1 Deskjet Printers, among others.
The presentation of these items took place at the Odundun Hall, Ile-Oluji Town.
Appreciating the Senator for his laudable contributions to the Senatorial District, Chief (Dr) Eddy Olafeso, thanked Senator Tofowomo for his kind gesture and urged him not to rest on his oars, rather he should redouble his giant strides in bringing joy to his neglected people.
Senator Tofowomo while accepting the award, said, “Better things are still coming, what you see today is a tip of the iceberg, by December, I will roll out another set of empowerment. Our students will be given scholarships, I will facilitate more projects to my constituency.”
