The State Government has shed light on why the 2020 budget proposal forwarded to the State House of Assembly  was slashed by N16b, from N193.903b presented in 2019, to N177.9b presented to the Assembly for 2020.

The 2020 estimate is N16b shorter than that of 2019 which was N193.903 billion.

The 2020 Budget of Growth was cut as a result of , “ financial constraints which were responsible for the inability of the State Government to implement the 2019 budget to the targeted point. As at the end of the Third Quarter in 2019, revenue from all sources was put at N91.706 billion , as against the N145.427 billion expected to have been made at the period.
