The Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, has been appointed Chairman of the Council of Obas in the state.
He takes over from the Olugbo of Ugboland, Oba Fredrick Akinruntan, whose two year tenure has expired.
Akinruntan, was appointed Chairman on 13th September, 2019 and his tenure lapsed on 12 September, 2021.
Governor Akeredolu expressed appreciation to the council members under the leadership of the erstwhile Chairman.
He expressed satisfaction with the Akinruntan administration, adding that the council gave necessary support to ensure that the people of Ondo State enjoyed good governance.
The governor urged the new Chairman to improve on the record of his predecessor by working in harmony with his brother Obas and the government in ensuring the development of the state.
