Abductors of the Federal High Court judge, Justice Abdul Dogo abducted by gunmen, have released the judge after making a ransom of N50m for his release.

Justice Dogo of the Federal High Court Akure was kidnapped along with his driver at the Ibilo/Isua Akoko axis, a border area between Ondo and Edo states, on their way from Abuja to Akure.

Spokesperson to the Ondo State police command also confirmed the incident but said it didn’t happen within his jurisdiction.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu had urged both Kogi and Edo State police demands to work as a team to rescue the judge.

The state has of recent witnessed incessant kidnappings, making the state one of the high risk states in the federation.

This development has necessitated the State Government to embark on fresh security  initiatives to change the ugly narrative.

The Governor as Chairman of the South west Governor’s Forum, has spear headed a central south west security initiative, while purchasing more security vehicles and equipment for security operatives in the state.
