The Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom, Oba Fredrick Akinruntan (OBAT), recently celebrated his twelfth anniversary on the throne in grand style.
He rolled out the red carpet at a public gathering held at the Obamakin Osangangan Civil Centre, Ode-Ugbo in Ilaje Local Government.
Dignitaries present include Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, represented by his Deputy, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, APC Chieftain, Chief Olusola Oke SAN, Special Adviser-Designate to the Governor, Dr. Wunmi Ilawole, wife of Olugbo of Ugbo, Princess Stella Akinruntan, Olowa of Igbara-Oke, Oba Dr. Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, Onimeri of Imeri, Oba Babatunde Agbadero, Olubo of Obenla, Oba Andrew Ikunesan, Olurese of Irese, Oba Ahmed Destiny Saka and Owa of Araromi, Oba Jayeoba Bamidele Alabi.
Others are President C&S Church of Zion Lagos, Primate Dr. S.O Ayodele, Commanding Officer FOB, Igbokoda, Captain A.A Zubairu, Secretary, OSOPADEC, Dr. Victor Koledoye, Chairman of Ilaje League of Professionals, among others.
The monarch has been a controversial personality in recent years, as a result of his views that Ugboland is the cradle of Yorubaland.
