The Akeredolu administration says it is strategically pursuing the exploration of potentials in all sectors of the economy, to make the state one of the most viable in the country.
Disclosing this economic move to participants of Senior Executive Course 43, 2021 of the National Institute for Policy and Srategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, identified the ambitious but achievable dry port project in the Southern Senatorial District, as one of the legacies he intends to leave behind.
He noted that the project will positively alter the state’s revenue generation profile.
Speaking further at the Dinner and Gala Night held at the International Culture and Events’ Centre in Akure in honour of the visitors, the governor who appreciated the participants for choosing Ondo state for their study tour this year, said their visit had helped to potentially enrich the intellectual capacity of the state.
Represented by his Deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Akeredolu reiterated the determination of his administration to pursue the port project to a logical conclusion.
Director of Studies and leader of delegation, Professor Funmi Para-Mallam, applauded the giant strides of Governor Akeredolu, saying Ondo state will be remembered for its legacy driven governance and hospitality.
In their remarks, Course participants, Olufemi Awoyemi, Kenneth Okoro and Isa Kaoje also gave kudos to the Governor and his team, for noticeable transformation of the state.
Secretary to Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, said the laudable projects of Governor Akeredolu point to better days ahead for the sunshine state.
A plaque of honour was presented to the State by the participants while the guests had a feel of the rich culture of the state.
