Indigenes of Ondo City have launched an appeal for assistance in the drive to transform the city from its aging status to a modern city.
The indigenes operating through Ekimogun Heritage Global Ambassador, said the changes expected can only be achieved through concerted efforts of all at-home and abroad.
” It gives us great pleasure to create strong awareness for self help modernisation agenda for community development projects across Ondo Town and its Metropolis. We are looking forward to collectively work together with all Ondo sons and daughters to rebuild all the ancient ruins and replace them with modern habitable comfortable homes, offices and shops for the indigenes of our heritage. This is more financially productive and far better than occupying a sit for few hours and end up donating millions of naira to enrich the organisers of an event that serves no benefit to the entire populace “$”.
According to them, ” the whole idea is that when we help one person, we are helping the whole family, the whole neighbourhood and Community, the whole State and the whole Nation. Therefore, we request for the thousands of Ondo sons and daughters in the diaspora and at home to adopt similar projects like this or sponsoring people for apprenticeships in various trades with what is in your hand by helping the next person to improve their living standard and for the betterment of our Community.
